Bond-soundtracks terug op vinyl

Een drietal oude Bond-soundtracks wordt opnieuw op vinyl geperst. Dr. No (1962, Monty Norman), Goldfinger (1964, John Barry) en Live and Let Die (1973, George Martin) zijn op Amazon te pre-orderen. De releasedatum is 16 april.


Bij Live and Let Die gaat het gerucht dat de acht extra tracks van de cd-release uit 2002 ook op de plaat komen te staan. 

De soundtrack van Skyfall en de gelijknamige titelsong van Adele verschenen in november vorig jaar ook beide op vinyl. Het was sinds Licence to Kill (1989) niet voorgekomen dat een James Bond-soundtrack op LP was uitgebracht.

Veel meer dan bovenstaande vermelding is niet bekend over deze nieuwe oude platen. Ook label Capitol Records biedt geen soelaas. Nou ja, hopelijk wordt vervolgd...

All three albums will be released with replicated original LP art, while in the U.S GOLDFINGER and LIVE AND LET DIE will also be released in high resolution digital audio, exclusively on HDtracks.com.
DR NO, GOLDFINGER and LIVE AND LET DIE will be available on April 16th in North America, and globally on May 6th."

Lijkt er dus op dat het bij die drie albums blijft...
